Welcoming the vibrant year of the Fire Rooster, Nestlé Malaysia recently gave the residents of Rumah Orang Tua Seri Setia an exciting Chinese New Year treat!
As part of Nestlé's Reaching Out to Community and Kids (ROCKS) Employee Volunteer Programme, the Nestlé volunteers, fondly known as ROCKers, brought the residents to the celebration at the lobby of Surian Tower, where they experienced festive activities such as a traditional lion dance, Chinese calligraphy, a fun chicken dance and lucky draw sessions. A sampling of delectable MAGGI dishes had also been prepared, which included a unique lou sang dish made of MAGGI Hot Cup Cili Fiesta and Nestlé Gold Flakes.
The residents enjoyed the lou sang together with the Nestlé Leadership Team, amidst a lively atmosphere ushering in a prosperous and successful Lunar New Year. To add to the festivities, guests also witnessed the traditional dotting ceremony for MAGGI lions by Mr. Alois Hofbauer, Chief Executive Officer of Nestlé Malaysia. There were delighted smiles and cheerful laughter all around as residents and ROCKers exchanged stories over a delicious meal which included chicken rice, dim sum and man tou buns.
As the cherry on top, Nestlé presented the senior citizens with 10 sets of MAGGI Fortune Boxes and a brand new computer as requested by the charitable home to assist them with general management and communication activities. In addition, Senheng presented the home with RM800 worth of cash vouchers, as part of MAGGI's partnership with Senheng in conjunction with the MAGGI Gong Xi Ria campaign.
In preparation for the Year of the Rooster, Nestlé also organised a Best Decorated Floor competition to encourage their staff to brighten up their respective floors. In addition, employees took part in the trending Mannequin Challenge which saw employees freezing in action for as long as 20 seconds, as a fun-filled activity to ring in the Lunar New Year.
