Nestlé Ice Cream, the leading ice cream manufacturer in Malaysia today launched its brand new frozen confection MAT KOOL Panda ice cream at a media launch event held at the Panda Conservatory Centre, Zoo Negara Malaysia.
MAT KOOL is one of the leading ice cream brands in Malaysia. The brand is well-known for its assortment of refreshing ice cream flavours; each product with its own unique ice cream experience.
As part of the brand’s creative offerings for new innovation that has seen a change in the image of ice cream, MAT KOOL is introducing to the market another fun product which is the MAT KOOL Panda—a cute panda-shaped ice cream with a rich and creamy combination of vanilla and chocolate; its smooth texture makes it a delightful treat to share with friends.
The launch attended by members of media was officiated by Ms. Yit Woon Lai, Business Executive Officer, Ice Cream Business Unit, with the presence of Mr. Eugene Chan, Executive Director, Communications, Nestlé (Malaysia) Berhad.
The launch event could not have been more exciting with an opening flash mob which started off the event with high energy levels by performing a group dance accompanied by the ever familiar MAT KOOL jingle. The similar group had performed at the MAT KOOL Panda pre-launch flash mob event on the 7th and 8th of January 2017, at Sunway Pyramid Shopping Mall and Mydin Mall USJ1, aimed to engage the public on the introduction of MAT KOOL Panda ice cream.
Ms. Yit who welcomed members of media and guests said, “Nestlé Ice Cream is thrilled to add another notable ice cream to our brand’s portfolio. With the launch of MAT KOOL Panda, we believe that our consumers will be extremely delighted to experience its winning combination of vanilla and chocolate flavour as well as the product’s cute Panda shape.”
Ms. Yit further commented on the new product, “Being part of an ice cream company, you need to maintain some childlike imagination in our work. MAT KOOL is a brand that aims to constantly introduce products which can create a source of fun and imagination for the consumers to experience. Following the success of the first sharing ice cream MAT KOOL Butterfly, our team has taken the opportunity to launch MAT KOOL Panda with an exciting product story that consumers can immerse in and have fun with.”
Ms. Yit proceeded to kick start the launch by introducing the brand new television commercial for MAT KOOL Panda, which showcased an action-packed story, featuring MAT KOOL and his new friend, Panda.
Guests were treated to a surprise as MAT KOOL, made an appearance and introduced his cuddly new friend, Panda to the delighted crowd.
As part of the fun-filled event, the guests participated in a treasure hunt session and tour around the zoo. The treasure hunt saw teams solving a series of clues surrounding the theme of the day, and finding answers to hints at the Panda Conservatory. As a conclusion to the fun-filled event, everyone had an opportunity to visit Malaysia’s very own giant panda family: Xing Xing and Liang Liang, as well as baby Nuan Nuan. All guests were also treated to the all-new MAT KOOL Panda ice cream.
