Fostering Relationship for Better Growth between Nestlé Malaysia and Sarawak
Nestlé Malaysia, led by Chairman, Y.A.M Tan Sri Dato' Seri Syed Zainol Anwar Jamalullail and Region Head Malaysia & Singapore, Alois Hofbauer paid a courtesy visit to the Chief Minister of Sarawak Yang Amat Berhormat Pehin Sri Haji Abdul Taib Bin Mahmud as means to foster a stronger relationship with the State of Sarawak.

Sarawak has always been one of the key regions for Nestlé Malaysia. As a testament to that, our first factory was built in Kuching in 1993 and up to date, Nestlé proudly provides more than 400 products in Sarawak and have created job opportunities to almost 500 people, of which 235 are based in the Kuching factory. Nestlé Malaysia’s continuing commitment to the state has been considerable and impactful, amounting to more than RM70 million over the last 20 years.

Fostering Relationship for Better Growth between Nestlé Malaysia and Sarawak

As part of sustained efforts to fortify Nestlé’s pledge towards our long-term investment in Sarawak, the visit held encompassed discussions on areas and ways that Nestle and the Sarawak government can work together in the future. This meeting would also help to ensure our continual investments and sustainable growth for the mutual benefit of the Company and for the state of Sarawak.
