Immy Ooi, Manager, Corporate Communications of Nestlé Malaysia presenting some of the nasi lemak paid forward by Nestlé employees during the Breakfast Boost programme to a representative of Suri@Salam.
In the spirit of giving this Ramadhan, Nestlé Reaching Out to Communities and Kids (ROCKS) presented the first batch of nasi lemak to the first beneficiary, Suri@Salam through the Breakfast Boost Programme. The first of its kind, the Breakfast Boost Programme encourages employees to either buy nasi lemak packs for personal consumption or opt to ‘Pay It Forward’ for a good cause, benefitting the various beneficiaries under the Nestlé ROCKS Employee Volunteer Programme.
The three-day long drive was a hit with Nestlé Malaysia’s Head Office employees, garnering a total sale of 2,787 packs of delicious nasi lemak, from which a whopping 2,271 packs were paid forward by the caring Nestlé employees.
On the day of the event, our volunteers fondly known as ‘ROCKers’, together with Region Head, Alois Hofbauer, personally delivered the 516 packs of nasi lemak to our employees for a morning boost. Extra packets of nasi lemak were also up for grabs for those who did not pre-order.
